It is not the duty of children to engage in armed conflicts. This is the work of adults; the appropriate place of the child is home and safety under the wing of the family.
It is a crime for a child to find himself in a dangerous place in any armed conflict and to be harmed by his country's forces or the forces of enemies. Childhood should not be involved in violence and wars.
The Convention on the Rights of the Child, Article 38, confirms the prohibition of the participation of children in war.
I Will not Engage is a picture book that illustrates Article 28, paragraph 2 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child is provided. The booklet assigned for this week issued within the series of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
